Psychological Tricks in Selling

By Stephen Bucaro

In this article, I'm revealing six powerful secret
psychological tricks that you can use to increase the
effectiveness of your advertising and marketing. What if
you don't sell anything? Should you ignore this information?

You ARE selling something. Whether you are a Real Estate
agent selling multi-million dollar homes, or a worker trying
to sell your boss on the idea that you are a valuable
employee, everybody is selling something. So it would be
wise to learn these secret tricks and use them to achieve
your own personal success.

The secret psychological tricks that I am going to reveal
are not really secret. They have been used by shrewed
salesman for millenium. Their existence was revealed back
in 1984 by Dr. Robert Cialdini in his book "Influence : The
Psychology of Persuasion".

You will recognize these tricks being used everywhere in
advertising today. Now you will be able to put them to use
to enhance your own personal success.

Psychological Selling Trick Number 1: Reciprocity

Reciprocity works like this: you give someone something of
value for free. That individual feels an obligation to
return the favor. Reciprocity is a very powerful principle.

To use reciprocity as a marketing tool, you give people
something of value for free, they reciprocate by purchasing
your product or service. But you would be surprised how
many advertisers totally blow it. Either they don't
understand the concept of "free", or they don't have total
faith in the principle of reciprocity.

For example, consider the offer "get a free camera when you
subscribe to our magazine for two years." That's not free.
Or, "free installation with a one year commitment." That's
not free. The customer is paying with an obligation. No sale.

Consider the offer,"receive the latest issue of our
magazine absolutely free. No bill will be sent." If the
prospective customer finds the magazine to be of value,
they feel an obligation to subscribe. Or, "one month of
free Internet service. No credit card required." If the
Internet service performs well, the prospective customer
feels an obligation to sign up.

The trick is to create something that has high perceived
value to a prospective customer, but costs you little or
nothing to produce. Free information is a good example.
Here again many advertisers totally blow it. The free
information turns out to be nothing more than blatant
advertising.

Free samples of your product or service is another good
example. Again, many businesses blow it. They either
produce a cheaper version of their product to use as free
samples, or they use the free sample campaign as a means
to dump reject product.

The largest Internet Service Provider is well known for
giving away hundreds of hours of service for free. No
credit card required. The largest cookie company is famous
for giving away free cookies. Reciprocity is a very powerful
marketing strategy.

Psychological Selling Trick Number 2: Scarcity

Scarcity works like this: There is a limited amount of the
item available. After those are gone, the item will not be
available. "urgency" implies Scarcity. For example, "this
offer will be honored only for a limited time".

The effectiveness of the scarcity principle is well
demonstrated by the large segment of the population involved
in pursuing antiques, collectibles, and memorabilia simply
because these items are scarce. Scarcity is often contrived,
as when a company produces a "limited edition".

For example, when Disney releases a limit edition of one of
its classic stories - yes, limited to a production of more
copies than they could ever possibly sell - then it goes in
the "vault". And how fortunate we'll be a few years from
now when they decide to do us the favor of taking it back
out of the vault.

Note: Manufactured items, especially DVDs and CD-ROMs,
cannot be "scarce". It's a simple matter to put the
manufacturing dies back into production. All scarcities of
manufactured items are contrived.

One popular incarnation of scarcity is the "going out of
business sale". Customers somehow don't pick up on the
fact that the mark-downs are not that great, or that the
store has new merchandise coming in the back door to take
advantage of the increase in traffic.

Scarcity is a very powerful marketing tool. There are many
ways to contrive scarcity. You can create a limited edition,
or for items like information products, scarcity can exist
in the form of urgency by creating a limited time offer.

Psychological Selling Trick Number 3: Commitment

Commitment involves getting a prospective customer to take
a tiny step towards a goal. For example, you might get them
to request free information, or fill out a survey. When the
prospective customer takes that first step, they have made
a commitment, however tentative, towards the goal you have
set out for them. They are likely to take another step.

One example of this process is the "two step" method used
in mail order. When a mail order marketer runs an
advertisement, they don't even try to sell the product.
Instead, the advertisement offers free information. A
prospective customer makes that first commitment towards
purchasing the product by requesting the free information.
The free information they receive is designed to entice
them to take the next step.

Another example of using commitment as a marketing tool is
a survey. By checking a few boxes and answering a few
questions, a prospective customer takes that first step
towards a commitment. The result they receive from the
survey is designed to entice them to take the next step.

Yet another example of using commitment as a marketing tool
is a lottery. For example, people enter their name and
address on a ticket for a chance to win a new car. A
salesman uses that information to contact them. By entering
their name and address on the lottery ticket, the individual
has made a commitment to own that new car.

The most common example of the principle of commitment are
those long-winded full page advertisements in magazines.
The prospective customer invests a great deal of time
reading through the entire advertisement. That investment
of time represents a commitment. They are likely to take
the next step, responding to the advertisement.

To use the psychological power of commitment in your
advertising, don't try to sell your product or service in
your ad. Instead, use a survey, contest, or free information
to get a prospective customer to make that first step
towards a commitment to purchase your product.

Psychological Selling Trick Number 4: Consensus

Consensus involves getting prospective customers to believe
that "everybody's doing it". Everybody is just waiting in
line to purchase your product. Everybody can't be wrong, so
the product must be fantastic!

Of course you're smart enough to know that everybody CAN be
wrong. Everybody thought that SUVs were safe vehicles (they
roll over). Everybody thought Enron was a great investment
(it went bankrupt). Everybody thought Iraq had weapons of
mass destruction (well maybe not everybody). You're an
independent thinker.

Here are some examples of headlines using the consensus
principle: "It's the new sensation crossing the country",
"People are signing up in droves", "People just can't get
enough of them", "Record sales", "Unbelievable response!"
and "Join millions of smart consumers". Combine this with
a stock photograph of a large group of people, a long line
of people, or a crowd of people, and you have a powerful
consensus message.

Note: Many people don't think they're having fun unless
they're in a large, noisy crowd. Unfortunately, every
large crowd contains a few lunatics. When things go wrong,
the crowd stampedes and people get hurt, or killed. When I
see a large crowd, I head the other way.

Fortuately, most people are not independent thinkers. They
act like a herd of cattle. Use the consensus principle in
your advertising, and people, like lemmings headed for the
sea, will come in waves to buy your product.

Psychological Selling Trick Number 5: Authority

Authority involves getting prospective customers to believe
that someone who is knowledgeable or famous uses your
product or service. If a knowledgeable or famous person uses
your product, then it must be fantastic!

The bigger the authority, the more powerful the advertising
message will be. For example, doctors are authorities. "Most
doctors prescribe Tylenol for arthritis pain". Large
organizations are authorities. "The National Heart
Association says - Quaker oatmeal is good for your heart."
The Federal Government is an authority. "The U.S. Food and
Drug Administration says whole wheat bread is part of a
complete diet". If only we could think of a way to use God
as an authority!

Here's how to use the principle of authority in advertising:
search the Internet for any references to your product or
service. Find an article that alludes to your product being
of value. For example, let's say you sell black T-shirts.
You find an article by the U.S. Department of Agriculture
that says "bees are attracted to bright colored clothing".
Your copy: "The U.S. Department of Agriculture that says my
T-shirts protect you from attack by stinging insects."

Most advertising using the authority principle is taken out
of context and exaggerated. Some advertising uses totally
fake authorities. "My dog biscuits are recommended by the
International Association of Dog Nutritionists" (an
organization I started last week). Some advertising uses a
"study" as an authority. "A recent study found that my
lemonade tastes better than any other brand" (my mother
liked it better).

I don't recommend that you use a fake organization, a fake
study, or take information out of context or exaggerate,
but if you can locate a legitimate authority or study
related in any way to your product and quote it without
exaggeration, you will have a powerful authority message.

Psychological Selling Trick Number 6: Greed

Greed involves taking advantage of many peoples belief that
there is a secret short cut to wealth. They believe that
wealthy people didn't earn their wealth, instead they know
a "secret".

Note: I am not recommending that you use the principle of
greed because it is used by unethical scammers. I'm simply
informing you of it's existence in order to make this series
of articles complete.

The simplest method of using the principle of greed is the
chain letter. You have no doubt received a chain letter at
some point. A chain letter contains a chart specifying the
massive amounts of money the recipient will get when they
follow the instructions. The first instruction is to send
money.

The multi-level or network marketing scheme works similar
to a chain letter. The prospective recruit gets a chart
showing the massive amounts of money they will receive when
they join the network. After parting with their money, the
victim is instructed to con their friends and relatives
into joining.

Another method of using the principle of greed is the
lottery or casino. The odds of winning most lotteries are
about the same whether you buy a ticket or not. A casino
allocates only a tiny portion of it's customers money to
winnings in order to create the illusion that the odds of
winning are good. Many people don't understand statistics.
In their mind, the phrase "win a million dollars" translates
into "get a million dollars".

Another example of the principle of greed is the business
opportunity scam. We know it works because successful
scammers invest millions to run business opportunity
infomercials, and they make hundreds of millions in profits.
They prey on people who believe there is a secret short cut
to wealth. The scammers think people who fall for their
scam are stupid, lazy, and greedy, so they deserve to get
ripped off.

The way to use the principle of greed is to contrive a
"secret plan". Run an ad describing how the plan requires
absolutely no work to make massive amounts of money. Include
a few bogus testimonials and a legitimate looking chart
that shows the massive amount of money the plan will bring.
Some scammers include pictures of fake checks or fake bank
statements.

Never divulge any details of the plan in the ad. The
prospective customer is required to send money to get the
plan. The typical plan instructs the purchaser to run the
same scam.

The principle of greed is very powerful. People who have
been ripped of by this scam a thousand times before will,
like hypnotized zombies, send you their money. They think
THIS TIME they will receive the REAL secret plan.

Hit Your Drives Longer and Straighter Is a Square Driver in your Future?

The major golf club makers have done it againjust when you finally have your latest driver dialed in to your swing and desired flight paththey offer new and different technology that is advertised to let you hit longer and more accurate drives!

No doubt you have seen the ads for the new square drivers offered by a couple of the biggest major brand names. If you are like most golfersyou just have to have any club that offers longer and straighter drives. The problem is that you already spent anywhere from $300 to $700 for the last big leap in driver technology, and now to get your hands on a square driver is going to cost another $400 to $500, and you are not sure if you can trust the advertising.

There are a couple of things you can tryyou could ask your buddy who just forked over the big bucks to let you hit hisyeah right. You could ask your pro shop to let you hit one, some will let you take one to the driving range, some will even let you play a round, the problem with this approach is that you cant get enough play with it to see if it really works.

You can of course buy one, I would suggest any of the major Internet or Brick & Mortar golf retailers, they will have a good selection for you to choose from and will offer a competitive price. While this is a great option it still does not solve the high price dilemma.

Here is another solution, one that I tried the last time around. Buy a clone from a reputable maker/marketer of clone golf clubs, or build your own club from components from one of the reputable component makers, (as of the time I wrote this article, I had not found a component maker offering a square driver head yet) Check Golfsmith.com, they should have something in the works very soon. What you will get is a club made to very similar specifications that will perform as well as and maybe even better than the major brand name. The clone club will cost around $100 at any of the reputable clone club makers. The component makers will have models out soon, with the opportunity for similar prices. After you have used your clone or component square driver long enough to see if you like the new technology, you can buy the major brand name if you really need to, and sell the clone or component club to a buddy or on eBay.

While the jury is still out on square drivers, the player comments and ratings on the various websites, seem to support the advertising.

Gardasil Mandated - First Childhood Vaccine for Sexually Transmitted Disease

Man on a mission: Side-stepping the legislature, Governor Rick Perry recently mandated that all Texas schoolgirls entering the sixth grade receive vaccination for the Human Papillomavirus. That mandate is causing quite a stir, but Perry asserts that the mandate is necessary. Requiring young girls to get vaccinated before they come in contact with HPV is responsible health and fiscal policy that has the potential to significantly reduce the cases of cervical cancer and mitigate future medical costs, said Governor Perry.

Governor Perry also directed state health authorities to make the vaccine available free to girls 9 to 18 who are uninsured, enrolled in Medicaid or the Childrens Health Insurance Program or whose insurance does not cover vaccines. In addition, he ordered that Medicaid offer Gardasil to women ages 19 to 21 and Dallas County Health and Human Services has been prompt to respond to the Governors orders. DCJJS currently offers the Human Papillomavirus vaccine through its adult immunization clinic.

DCHHS wants to provide the vaccine as a weapon against the deadly form of cancer, said Zachary Thompson, DCHHS Director. According to the Texas Cancer Registry, there were approximately 1,169 new cases and 391 deaths from cervical cancer in Texas in 2006. DCHHS is awaiting shipment of the HPV vaccine for children through the Texas Vaccine for Children program and will make a formal announcement when it becomes available.

HPV is harmless in most cases: Many know that the vaccine has been tested for safeness and effectiveness against HPV. But what many do not know is that, according to the Center for Disease Control, HPV infection, in most cases, is harmless. In fact, 90 percent of infections are fought off by the bodies own immune system, rendering the infection inactive or causing it to dissolve on its own. But, there are other strains of HPV that are deemed as high-risk because the virus may, in rare cases, develop into persistent infecti9on that can progress to cervical cancer if left untreated (There are more than 100 known strains of HPV, 30 of these are sexually transmitted and are defined as genital HPV). It is estimated that fewer than 4000 Americans die from HPV related cervical cancer yearly. So why the need for an executive order which is used in times of crisis and emergency?

Justification: According to the Supreme Court: It is basic that no showing merely of a rational relationship to some colorable state interest would suffice (in reference to use of executive powers); in this highly sensitive constitutional area, only the gravest abuses, endangering paramount interests, give occasion for permissible limitation, Thomas v. Collins, 323 U.S. 516,530. Furthermore, Sherbert v. Verner (1963) posits that before executive powers can be used it must meet a three question litmus test which looks at the following questions: 1. government infringement with respect to its proposed action, 2. if the government has a compelling state interest which justifies government intervention and finally, 3. if compelling interests do not exist are there alternative means by which the government can achieve its goal and thus not burden the citizenry. The question is has the government determined this infection cannot be avoided by behavioral change and has chosen to shift the focus toward vaccination? And, if so, is mandatory vaccination against a disease that is largely sexually transmissible really the answer or is there a larger problem?

Clinical Trials: In initial clinical trials, Merk tested over 20,000 females, giving half of them placeboes and the other half Gardasil. The subjects were followed for approximately four years. More noteworthy, a little more than 1000 subjects, ages ranging from 9 to 16 years of age were a part of the trials and they were followed for only 18 months. Both in the placebo and in the vaccine groups, there are reports of adverse reactions. Gardasils own package insert sites as some of the adverse reactions reports of arthritis, headaches, dizziness, nausea, and pain at the injection site. Page 12 of the Merck package insert also cites 102 incidents of serious, adverse reactions such as headaches, dizziness, juvenile arthritis, gastroenteritis, appendicitis, pelvic inflammatory disease and includes 17 deaths out of 21,464 subjects. Merck concluded these deaths have nothing to do with their product. The test group was followed for a period of four years, raising doubts that as to whether Gardasil prevents anything, especially since the incubation period for the infection is about 20 years and usually presents in women in their late 30s and 40s. The only thing known with certainty is the short-term effects of this vaccine. Additionally, the study did not address carcinogens (any potentially cancer causing agent) or genotoxicity (a chemical or agent that causes damage to cellular DNA which can result in mutations or cancer).

Merck's troubled past: Gardasil is made by Merk, a giant pharmaceutical manufacturer. Merck received licensing for Gardasil from the Food and Drug Administration in June of 2006, while the vaccine was still in clinical trials. In Gardasils own packing insert, it asserts that HPV types 16 and 18 are the cause for 70 percent of cervical cancer and Gardasil is reported to be affective against these implications for types 11 and 6. Mercks package insert goes on to explain that women will continue to need regular cervical cancer screenings and that the vaccine may not protect everyone, raising questions as to whether this vaccine really is 100 percent effective. Merck is the same manufacturer of the drugs Fosomax and Vioxx, pharmaceutical nightmares for Merck and company that have left the company reeling from lawsuit settlements. It is estimated between 88,000 to 139,000 have suffered heart-attacks or strokes as a result of taking the drug Vioxx and more than 55,000 have died. Merck continued to defend Vioxx even after it had been pulled from shelves, better than four years from when they knew there were problems.

According to The San Francisco Chronicle, Dr. David Graham, the scientist and 20 year FDA veteran, that blew the whistle on Merck & Co., said at a Senate hearing in 2004 that policies by the FDA had left the American public virtually defenseless against the kind of safety problems that led to Vioxx abrupt withdrawal in September 2004. Fox News.com reported that in his testimony, Graham said, the FDAs Office of New Drugs unrealistically maintains a drug is safe unless reviewers establish with 95 percent certainty that it is not. That rule does not protect consumers, Graham told the Senate committee. What it does is it protects the drug, he said. Additionally Graham told the Senate Finance Committee, I would argue the FDA, as currently configured, is incapable of protecting America against another Vioxx. According to Reuters, in the same hearing, Committee Chairman Charles Grassley, an Iowa Republican also raised concerns regarding the reliability of the FDA, saying he feared the FDA had become too intimately involved with drug companies and thought an independent office of drug safety might be need.

In an interview with CBS News Correspondent, Sharyl Attkinson, Dr. Graham characterized the FDA fostering as a work environment where supervisors intimidate employees when they bring attention to products that have questions with regard to safety. In the interview, he discussed problems not only with Vioxx and Fosomax, but also Bextra, Meridia, Crestor, Accutane, and Serevent. Were Gardasil to prove to be another Merck disaster, Governor Perrys mandate requiring Gardasil to be offered under the vaccine for childrens law which will create total immunity from lawsuits from lawsuits from those who take Gardasil and experience adverse or even life threatening reactions. This is because the Federal Vaccine Liability program shields pharmaceuticals that develop vaccines.

We were first introduced to the Gardasil vaccine through what is commonly known as direct-to-consumer marketing. says a mother with her young child in the background, in a Merck commercial. O-N-E-L-E-S-S! I want to be one less, one lessis chanted by children while skipping rope and playing. Who wouldnt want to vaccinate their children against cervical cancer? It is a manufacturers way of first, raising awareness about its newest product and secondly, encouraging consumers, when visiting the doctors office, to ask for their product and to ask for it by name. If this were a game of poker, one might say it was the only hand that Merck had left to play if it were going to stay afloat financially. In a 2005 interview with Jim Lehrer of NPR, a representative from Merck Pharmaceuticals reported that because of financial hardships (largely attributed to trade mark expiration of Zocor, a cholesterol medication, and lawsuits from Fosomax and Vioxx), Merck, by 2008, would be closing seven manufacturing sites and laying off approximately 11 percent of its workforce. Ironically, 2008 is when the Governors mandate is to take affect. There is no word yet on whether sell of the Gardasil vaccine will off-set the financial disparities experienced by Merck & Co.

A costly venture: Gardasil is given in a series of three shots at $140.00 per shot ($420 in total). Some private doctors are already offering the vaccine, others are not stocking for reasons such as: too expensive to store and refrigerate or they have to charge a surcharge in case the insurance company does not pay. Gardasil is currently covered by some insurance companies, but others are waiting until there is more information about the drug (USA Today). But if the vaccine is indeed mandated under the Childhood Vaccination Program, this will guarantee profits for Merck both immediately and in the future as there is sure to be a need for a booster. After all it is a vaccine, said Dr. Edwards of the Texas Association of Ob-Gyns. This is a fact that has had little to no discussion in the public arena. Deputy Press Secretary for Governor Perry, Krista Moody, declined to respond to questions about the vaccine mandated by the Governor, stating, I believe your attached questions should be directed to the CDC, FDA or Merck, as they relate to specifics for drug research and testing. Both Christopher Loder, Media Relations Officer for Merck & Co. and Heidi Robello, FDR Media Relations agreed to answer questions presented to them in writing, but to date neither has responded.

In summary: The public is being told that the Gardasil vaccine should be hailed as a cure for cervical cancer, but this vaccination is not a cure for cancer. It is a vaccination purported to protect against two of over 100 different strains of HPV, with implications for two more. Furthermore, sexually active men and women, boys and girls can still continue to transmit.

How A Noisy Group Of Kids Could Put Money In Your Pocket...Starting Today!

Do you love being around children, teaching them how to do all manner of things? If you do then you can earn a fairly good income from this passion. There are many avenues to cash in on this passion. The only problem is which one to choose. Better yet you could operate more than one business and have multiple streams of income.

List all your talents and skills. It could be in the arts, crafts, sport or educational fields. What talent do you have that could be turned into a viable course for young children? Pottery, Cricket coaching, Computer classes are some ideas.

Once you have decided on what the course is going to be about, you need to plan it. You will need to purchase the necessary equipment and books to plan it thoroughly. Try to compile a year-long course. This has the obvious benefit of not having to be constantly looking for a new group of clients all the time - not for a year at least - once you are fully booked.

Whilst developing the course try to think of ways that you can make your business unique and set yourself apart from the competition. An excellent idea is to provide parents with the option of having a video made of their child learning that particular skill.

Now that your course is developed and all set to go you can begin to get the word out. Make a list of all the schools or daycare centers in your area ( This would depend on what age group you are targeting) Then approach the principle and sell him or her on the course first. Then get a list of all the parents contact details. Either call them up directly or mail them a sales letter or flyer detailing your service. You could also put up posters in the school foyer and place pamphlets on the reception counter as well.

Here are some ideas of successful kiddies coach businesses:

Aircraft Flight Instruction

Many people dream of being able to fly a plane but don't know how affordable or accessible getting instruction for becoming an aircraft pilot can really be. There are many certified aircraft flight instruction schools, especially in Nevada, that offer programs to help people who love to fly get their pilot's license, whether as recreational private pilots for small aircraft (PPL) or as commercial pilots on large aircraft flights (CPL).

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations require 40 hours of minimum flying time before a pilot's license is issued. At least 20 of those hours must be spent with a certified instructor from an accredited aircraft flight instruction school, and 20 hours must be student solo flights. In Nevada, you can get your private pilot license in as little as a month and after 10 to 16 hours of solo flying time with supervised aircraft flight instruction. It takes at least six months to become a commercial aircraft pilot.

To be able to solo flight, the FAA requires you to first provide a medical certificate of health, proof of age and physical competency. A certified pilot's license also requires a written exam. In Nevada, you must be at least 16 years old to solo flight and at least 17 years old to get your private pilot license. To get your commercial pilot license you have to be at least 18 years old, and you must be at least 23 years old to get your airline transport license (ATPL).

Those who wish to learn to fly need to do their homework to find a reputable aircraft flight instruction school that will guide them through applying for a license and what associated costs are involved. Nevada is the perfect place for aircraft flight instruction because of the open space and beautiful landscape that can only be appreciated from being airborne.

Buying Interviewed Lead Mlm Phone Prospects

Buying Interviewed Lead Mlm Phone prospects are not what you should be buying to build a profitable network marketing business. When I started cold calling interviewed lead mlm phone prospects, I thought I would have it made because I was told they were one of the best leads to buy. This is incorrect! Interviewed lead mlm phone prospects are just as ineffective as buying regular generic mlm leads they are not called by any one. If your not familiar with interviewed lead mlm phone prospects, then I will explain. They are the same so called great leads you would buy from some lead vendor for your business. Except the lead vendor typically calls them to double check for you that they are still looking for a home business to start.

When I found this out I though this would be the ticket to becoming a big success in my Network Marketing business using interviewed lead mlm phone prospects. However it was not. No matter what kind of generic mlm leads you buy, they all will be just people who are looking for information and most importantly are not your target market to be cold calling. I called interviewed lead mlm phone prospects and many other type of generic mlm leads and you are only making the lead companies richer.

What allowed me to explode my network marketing business worldwide was not interviewed lead mlm phone prospects or any other so called generic red-hot mlm leads. I learned how to generate my own mlm traffic. Learning how to generating your own mlm traffic will be the only why to explode your network marketing business. Why you may ask? Because they are exclusive targeted leads that are yours and not anyone else's. When you generate your own mlm traffic your targeted mlm leads are not sold five or ten times like lead vendors do when selling you the leads they generate. When you buy interviewed lead mlm phone prospects, you don't know how they are generated. Also these interviewed lead mlm phone prospects have no experience in network marketing in the first place. So why would you buy them?

If you were a recruiter for the NBA and you were looking for other professional basketball players to ad to your team, would you go out and recruit someone who drives a truck for a living? Of course you wouldn't! You would recruit the best players who already have experience and who already play professional Basket Ball. Buying interviewed lead mlm phone prospects is like the (truck driver). If you want to build a professional network marketing team that is very profitable for you, then I suggest you start learning how to build your Network Marketing business by generating your own mlm traffic and building a list of true targeted mlm leads that consist of other professional network marketers (Professional NBA players) who have experience and who are willing to do whatever it takes to be successful.

So go out and learn how to generate your own mlm traffic and build that list of professional network marketers who will help take your business to the level of success you came to this industry for in the first place. I suggest that you Stop buying interviewed lead mlm phone prospects and build your business like the top income earners do. Also work on building that solid relationship with you list before making any attempt to make them a part of your Network Marketing business.

Pain Killer Addiction - Stop Worrying - Act Now

Some simple facts: Chronic pain affects one out of four adults; millions of people suffer from severe disabling pain. Once a patient addicted to pain killing drugs has completed detoxification, the treatment provider must then work with the patient to determine which course of treatment would be best for each patient. More than ten percent of high school seniors have started taking Vicodin for reasons other than reducing pain.

Opioids should never be taken when one is drinking alcohol (also a drug) or when alcohol may still be in the system. Patients can innocently start taking pain killers after a moderate injury or because of a severe injury in an automobile accident, fall or for post-operative pain. More than 2.2 million people aged 12 and up first abused painkillers within the past year; this is more than the number of people who had started using marijuana and has overtaken the use of cocaine.

An addicted person exhibits compulsive behavior to satisfy their craving for a pain killer or pain medication even when there are negative consequences associated with taking the pain killer or drug. Addiction is a biological and psychological condition. Physical dependence on a drug suggests that sudden stopping the drug may result in negative consequences.

Opioids used as the doctor has prescribed are supposedly not dangerous according to some medical groups; but if so why are so many people addicted to them? When you're addicted physically to a drug, like pain killers, or alcohol, etc., it is because you've suppressed or shut down your body's production of endorphins, which are natural opiate pain killers; when this happens you start craving the drug you replaced the endorphins with whether it's alcohol or any of a number of drugs or pain killers. Common side effects and adverse reactions of pain killers include: nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, dry mouth, miosis (contraction of the pupil), orthostatic hypotension (blood pressure drops upon sudden standing (which often happens when arising too fast when getting out of bed in the morning,) urinary retention, constipation and fecal impaction.

Less common side effects and adverse reactions of pain killers include: confusion, hallucinations, delirium, hives, itching, hypothermia, bradycardia (slow heart rate), tachycardia (rapid heart rate), raised intracranial pressure, ureteric or biliary spasm, muscle rigidity and sometimes flushing. Many chronic pain patients may be under-treated as a result of doctors trying to gain control over pain killer addiction, they report. There are a number of effective treatment options to treat pain killer addiction to prescription opioids and to help manage the sometimes severe withdrawal symptoms that can accompany sudden stopping of the pain killers or drugs.

The longer you wait to get treatment the worse it will get; take action now. You must leave the routine responsibilities of your life for a week or more or suffer the inevitable outcome and health effects of prolonged drug addiction. Many insurance plans do cover inpatient detox; check your plan if you have insurance.

If you don't have insurance, check with your local mental health agencies to see what is available that may be free. All other demands of children, job, school, or any other responsibilities may make inpatient treatment seem like an intrusion or impossibility but it is not. If you cannot do in-patient rehab, find out how you can do outpatient rehab and pay for it under your insurance plan; again check your insurance policy to see if it's covered.

Today's pain killer treatment options are drawn from long-time experience and clinical research from studying and treating many types of drugs and even heroin addiction. A patient being treated with a pain killer can become dependent, but with controlled and appropriate use of the medication, the patient can return to a good level of normal living and activities following discontinuance of the drug. Do things that make you feel good as long as you keep it natural.

Concrete - How Concrete is Made and the History of Concrete

Concrete is the most widely used manmade product in the world. It powers a $35 billion industry, one of the largest on Earth. Concrete is used to make a variety of structures a which you use everyday.

Concrete is a construction material that consists of, in its most common form, cement, gravel and sand, and water. Concrete is the most highly used manmade product on Earth. It is used to make pavements, building structures, foundations, motorways/roads, overpasses, parking structures, brick/block walls and footings for gates, fences and poles. Approximately six billion cubic metres of concrete are produced every year, which is one cubic metre per person on Earth! Concrete commands a $35 billion worldwide industry and employs, in the United States alone, 2 million people.

The origins of concrete can be traced back to the Babylonians, who used a clay-mix similar to concrete. However, the modern-day form of concrete was not invented till 1756, when British engineer John Smeaton pioneered the use of cement in concrete. His ingredients included pebbles and powdered brick as aggregate. Nowadays, recycled materials are becoming increasingly more popular as ingredients in concrete due to higher public awareness about ecological sustainability and environmental damage.

The composition of concrete is traditionally relatively simple. However, modern concrete is often a complicated mix, ensuring durability and longevity. Cement is the main ingredient in concrete. Portland cement is the most common cement in circulation, which is just a basic mix of mortar and plaster.

Water is another ingredient in the manufacture of concrete. The w/c ratio (mass ratio of water to cement) is the key factor that determines the strength of Concrete. A lower w/c ratio will yield a concrete which is stronger, while a higher w/c ratio yields a concrete with a lower strength. Water also affects the workability and consistency of a concrete. This water and cement paste hardens over time, and both fine and coarse aggregates are added to provide bulk. Widely used aggregates include sand, gravel and crushed stone. Decorative stones such as, small river stones or crushed glass are sometimes added to the surface of concrete for a decorative "exposed aggregate" finish, popular among landscape designers.

Ad mixtures are also added to a concrete mix to give it certain characteristics not obtainable by basic production. Admixtures come in powder or paste form and generally consist of no more than 5% of the entire mixture.Concrete has many characteristics including:

Workability ability to mould to certain shapes
Curing keeping concrete under certain conditions till it hydrates
Strength high compressive strength, low tensile strength
Elasticity relatively low
Expansion and shrinkage provisions must be made for both
Cracking abnormal drying rate will result in cracks
Creep the permanent movement of a slab of concrete

Concrete is used for many structures. Mass concrete structures are structures built with one, giant concrete slab so that there are no weak points, such as dams or shelters. Reinforced concrete structures have bars of steel running through the concrete to ensure strength and stability. Pre stressed concrete structures have a predetermined stress level which will never be exceeded, as they will only carry their own weight. Concrete is an amazingly versatile material. Whether you are building some of the largest structures in the world or a small pathway, the evolution and discovery of concrete has changed our world
