It has been revealed that small quantities of androgens are normally made by both the ovaries and the adrenal glands in women. The adrenal glands are located above the kidneys. Adrenal androgens cause normal growth of pubic and axillary hair that comes before the onset of menstruation. It has generally been seen by that hirsutism usually occurs at puberty, that is, at the time of sexual development. If there is an abnormality in either your ovaries or adrenal glands, you may secrete excessive quantities of androgens and develop hirsutism before puberty. Pre-pubertal hirsutism may be the result of an inherited defect in hormone synthesis (the production of hormones) or an adrenal or ovarian malignancy (cancerous growth).

The treatment of hirsutism is carried out with an aim of correcting the root cause of the problem. If the problem of hirsutism is due to anovulation due to polycystic ovarian syndrome or infertility, the primary goal will be to induce ovulation. Steroids like dexamethasone or prednisone may also be prescribed in low doses if the adrenal gland is overactive. This medicine is usually taken at bedtime and serves to suppress production of the ACTH (adrenocorticotropic hormone) hormone which stimulates the adrenal gland.

The effect of treatment is evident only after a period of six months and if the results are found to be effective it may be continued indefinitely with patience. However, terminal hairs that are already present will not fall out or disappear with hormonal therapy and must be removed by other hair removalmeans. Many women with mild hirsutism often opt for various hair removal methods such as shaving, depilatories, electrolysis and even laser hair removal.

Contrary to what you may have heard, the finish doesnt take weeks to dry. Its quite simple actually. You can get the supplies for sanding at your neighborhood home improvement store. Youll need a drum sander and a belt sander. They will be able to advise you on the sandpaper you need, how to use the machine and what kind of stain and finish youll need to finish off the floor. Sanding creates fine particles of dust that will get everywhere and on everything so you may want to pick up some dust masks and drop cloths while you are at it.

The first thing youll want to do when refinishing your floor yourself is to learn how to run the sander. The key to stripping a floor is learning how to get the sander working smoothly. The sanders are very easy to use. But theyre a bit on the loud side. The key is to keep it moving at all times. The sander gets very hot and if you stop in one spot for any length of time, you run the risk of burning or denting your floor.

Running the sander is the fun part of refinishing, but you must be cautious as the machine is self propelled. You may feel like a Zamboni driver smoothing ice after you get the hang of it! When you start it up, hold on firmly and make sure you keep it in control at all times.

After the old finish is removed, you need to apply the stain and new finish. Think of this as the same as doing your nails first you remove the old finish, then basecoat, color and topcoat. Sometimes you dont want color on your nails so you skip that part. In your floor you might also skip that part (the stain) but you still want to use a finish to protect the floor.

When it comes to the finish you have 2 choices oil based or water based. Oil-based is available in a satin, semi-gloss or gloss finish. Satin works well on a hardwood floor because it will bring out the natural glow of the wood without too much of a shine as well as help hide any flaws. Oil-based also produces a warm amber look that gives you the traditional glow of wood floors. Water-based polyurethane dries clear and resists yellowing. Water-based also dries quicker.

Either way, make sure you let each coat dry thoroughly before applying the next. Follow the manufacturers instructions on the product for drying times. Give your floor at least 24-36 hours before moving furniture back on it. It will continue to harden in the first couple of weeks.

This vascular headache is most commonly experienced between the ages of 15 and 55, and 70% to 80% of sufferers have a family history of migraine. Migraine is the second most common type of headache syndrome in the United States. Tension headaches are the most common. Migraines most commonly are found in women, with a 3:1 female-to-male ratio.

In childhood, however, migraines are more common in boys than in girls. More than 80% of patients who develop migraines will have a first attack by age 30. Migraines continue through the patient's 30s and 40s. Less than half of all migraine sufferers. Migraine is often misdiagnosed as sinus headache or tension-type headache. Migraines' secondary characteristics are inconsistent. Triggers precipitating a particular episode of migraine vary widely. The efficacy of the simplest treatment, applying warmth or coolness to the affected area of the head, varies between persons, sometimes worsening the migraine. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are helpful for early and mild headache. NSAIDs include acetaminophen, ibuprofen, naproxen, and others. A recent study concluded that a combination of acetaminophen, aspirin, and caffeine could effectively relieve symptoms for many migraine patients. Migraine-specific medications and analgesia are the keys of ED care.

Triptans are a mid-line treatment suitable for many migraineurs with typical migraines. They may not work for atypical or unusually severe migraines, transformed migraines, or status (continuous) migraines.Rest in a darkened, quiet room is helpful. Alternative treatments are aimed at prevention of migraine. Migraine headaches are often linked with food allergies or intolerances.
